Midlands Specialist Private Hospital, previously Midlands Medical Centre (MMC), was founded in Febuary 1988 by a group of passionate doctors who were serving the under-priviledged of the Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas. The group were frustrated at the lack of hospital facilities for use in the private sector.
With a vision of creating an efficient health facility for the greater Pietermaritzburg community, they pooled knowledge, resources and passion and so the Midlands Medical Centre was born.
Over 30 years later, Midlands Medical Centre has evolved into Midlands Specialist Private Hospital, known for top-class medical services
