The aim of a patient going through a pre-admission process is to make the patient’s admission an easier and stress-free process.

How does pre-admission work?
The patient needs to visit the admissions desk a day or two before their scheduled procedure to complete all necessary documentation, and to go through the physical screening process required for pre-admission.

Authorisation from medical aid should be obtained by the patient or the Doctor’s room beforehand, with the exception of emergencies.  This is especially important because there may be a co-payment payable to the Doctor by the patient. You dio not want any surprises!
